TRI 134
Made for the hand
When designing the TRI 134 handle profile, we took a close look at the cavity that the hand forms when gripping. In the process, we realized that this cavity resembles neither a circle, an oval nor a rectangle, but rather has the shape of a gently rounded triangle. Based on this insight, we developed a completely new handle profile with three sides in Blaustein. The result is TRI 134, a door handle that is literally "made for the hand". Its ergonomic design not only offers unique comfort, but also gives your door a timeless and elegant character. Experience the perfect combination of functionality and design with TRI 134.

Anatomy and movement patterns guide design
In the search for the perfect haptic experience, GRIFFWERK tested a wide variety of profiles in several studies. Finally, several criteria could be defined that are relevant for a "perfect" gripping experience:
The "perfect" profile corresponds to the hollow space,of the closing hand. This is three-sided for anatomical reasons and not round or rectangular
During operation, the angle of the closed hand is changed, as well as the position of the user in space. The closed hand is therefore "moved" on the door handle. It does not remain static. The edges must therefore be softly rounded to allow for movement play.
Most pressure is exerted on the upper contact surface. This is also the largest contact surface between the door handle and the hand. It therefore plays the most important role for the grip feeling. It is particularly pleasant if it is kept very wide, as is the case with TRI.
The upper contact surface should also be inclined towards the door. An angle that slopes gently towards the door corresponds to the natural posture of the wrist when operating a door handle. Thanks to the inclined angle, the wrist is not hyperextended when pressing the handle (as would be the case with a horizontal surface).
Door handle TRI 134 was developed based on these criteria.
A new classic
Door handle TRI 134 is one of the simple, minimalist design forms that fit any door and any architectural style. In addition to a shapely, restrained design, it offers exceptional gripping comfort.
Haptic in perfection
We have developed a profile cross-section with a "perfect feel". Anatomical requirements and movement patterns were taken into account. The gripping area now has three sides and thus corresponds exactly to the actual cavity of the gripping hand. This is not round but has a three-sided shape due to the joints of the hand.
The Greek pronoun "TRI" ("three" or "threefold") therefore became the eponym of the first handle introduced with the new profile.
Its shape literally nestles against the hand.

Mid-Century Modern
Mid-Century Modern stands for a special design in architecture. Living styles originated in the USA and Europe between the 1930s and 1960s. Mid-Century Modern is characterized above all by clear lines, organic forms and streamlined design without further embellishments. In terms of color, earth tones are particularly popular. In homes today, the Mid-Century Modern furnishing style is often found in sofas and other furniture, but the style is also a furnishing idea for door handles. our door handles are a perfect match.

Minimalism
According to the Duden dictionary, minimalism means "to deliberately limit to a minimum". The strength of minimalist interior design lies in the quiet focus on individual furnishing elements. Minimalism is not only a style of living. Rather, it describes an attitude to life that is reflected in the living space. Focus on the essential and do without the superfluous. That is the motto of a minimalist lifestyle. The goal is a simple elegance and purist structure. Choosing a minimalist door handle is the first step towards a minimalist living style.

DOOR HANDLE SETS
Door handle sets are door fittings that consist of door handles and the corresponding plates or rosettes and are used to open and close doors. Inside the door is a square lever handle pin, which is connected to a lever handle on both sides - via the so-called spindle part.
ROUND ROSETTE SETS
Round rosettes are the circular plates that are fitted around the door handle and keyhole to cover the hole in the door leaf and provide a decorative as well as functional cover. Rosettes combine aesthetic design with functionality. Matching the handle, they are available in the same finishes such as stainless steel, cashmere gray or brass look to suit different interior styles.

SMART2LOCK 2.0: WHAT IS IT?
Thanks to the innovative "smart2lock 2.0" locking technology, the door handle does not require a key rosette; the locking bolt is located on the top of the handle. As an occupied indicator, a red dot on the outside signals that the door is locked. The door can be emergency unlocked with a pointed object, e.g. a ballpoint pen.
Door handles: FAQ
Can you replace door handles yourself?
Yes, usually a screwdriver or cordless screwdriver is sufficient to remove the protective fittings and pull out the door handle.
Which door handle?
Mortice lock door handle sets, BB sets for short, are suitable for room doors made of wood. Doors that are typically equipped with a door lock cylinder require a door handle with profile cylinder insert, or PZ for short. The most common door handle for use on bathrooms and toilets is the WC set with closer. For more intelligent closing and locking, there are door handles with Griffwerk smart2lock technology. The locking mechanism is integrated in the handle. You no longer need a key rosette. Smart2lock handles also impress with a modern and puristic design.
Which door handles match which interior?
Door handles can be made of metal, aluminum, brass, stainless steel or plastic. Most door handles are silver, gold or black. Plastic door handles can have almost any color. Round and curved door handles go best with playful furnishings. To a design interior fit clean and straight lines.

Half sets are characterized by the fact that one side has a completely different door handle installed than the other - mainly to connect two rooms with different interior style.
What kind of door handles are there?
Rosette door handles, escutcheon door handles, lever handles, half handles, Ulmer door handle - and all of this made from a wide variety of materials. In addition, there are long plates, short plates, fire protection fittings, security fittings and many more.
Are door handles standardized?
Many door fitting dimensions are standardized - such as the square spindle and the distance between the lever handle and keyhole.
To ensure that every square spindle fits into every door, they all have the same cross-section of 8 x 8 millimetres - except for fire doors, where there is an extra millimetre. However, the length of square pins varies. It depends on the dimensions of the handle set.
For all room doors, the keyhole is 72 millimetres from the center of the lever handle.
Please note: The external dimensions of the door handles and fittings are different. When replacing them, make sure that the new one is at least as large or larger than the old one.
