Lucia - The masterpiece

The classic door handle rethought

The absolute classic among the door handle shapes, LUCIA, can be assigned to the Bauhaus style. The outstanding design is based, as usual in the Bauhaus style, on the simplification of a form - instead of playful details. We have rethought the design classic LUCIA. Technology, surfaces, haptics - everything about this door handle should be more perfect, the "Meisterstück by GRIFFWERK". It symbolises our high standards of design, comfort and functionality,

Details make the difference

Feel free to take a closer look. Then you will see with how much attention to detail we have made the design classic LUCIA even better, a true "masterpiece": 21 mm in diameter make the handle lie better in the hand, the lack of sharp edges makes it more supple, a disc cut provides more value. The grub screw is invisibly located on the underside of the door handle. And with only 8 mm of rosette structure, the aesthetics are perfect.

For a purist aesthetic, the grub screw sits invisibly on the underside of the handle.

Uniform precision bevel all around the end of the handle.

High-quality finish thanks to disc grinding and optimised diameter for better feel.

Minimal installation height of the rosette of only 8 mm.

Quality as a promise

How do you get more quality in the door handle? By taking the production into your own hands. Because we can only achieve our high standards through our own production: GRIFFWERK produces on state-of-the-art production facilities and with sophisticated manufacturing processes. However, the benchmark for our quality standards is still set by people. This is how we create quality that you can feel.

Quality you can feel

Hand-polished surfaces create the premium matt look and smoothness without a tactile weld.

Quality check

Every single product is carefully checked by human hands before it leaves our factory

Purism as a principle

Geometrically clear through and through: Two simple round tubes form the handle body. In addition, we have hidden the grub screw on the underside of the door handle and optimised the proportions. The result: purist design and improved haptics. And with Piatta S, LUCIA has probably the flattest rosette on the market.

Precision as a claim

Precision in the details is what makes a masterpiece. The components of the screw rosettes are therefore precisely milled. This process ensures accurate, precisely fitting results. The finest joints and small radii give the shape its purist aesthetics. The high-quality finish in disc cut provides a soft play of light on the front surfaces. The circular alignment emphasises dynamics and geometry, while the depth and degree of refinement give cool stainless steel its special, high-quality look.

Design as harmony

You can recognise really good product design by the fact that the original idea has been holistically thought through. And that is exactly what we have done with our LUCIA masterpiece. The door handle defines the style. We continue this with door hinges that are perfectly coordinated with it in terms of shape and colour.

Perfect unity

Türgriff und Türbänder sprechen bis ins Detail eine Designsprache.

Harmony in detail

The door hinges also bear the same fine bevel at the ends.

Innovation as a mission

smart2lock by GRIFFWERK marks the beginning of a new era. smart2lock stands for innovative, intelligent locking technology. All door fittings can be locked and opened with just one hand. A short click activates the mechanism integrated in the handle. To the outside, a discreet red indicator signals "do not disturb" - the most beautiful pause sign in the world. With its simple aesthetics, LUCIA with smart2lock is not only suitable for the WC or bathroom, but also for the guest room, the home gym, a youth room or the parents' suite.

Innovative locking technology

smart2lock stands for the perfect combination of intelligent locking technology with purist design. And since the locking mechanism is integrated in the handle, a key rosette is no longer required.

The most beautiful break sign...

...is a red dot. On the outside, a red indicator on the door handle discreetly signals "please do not disturb".

The diversity of Lucia

The extensive LUCIA design line offers perfect solutions for the requirements of the most diverse building projects. All variants have been coordinated in detail, both in terms of technology and appearance. For example, the characteristic narrow chamfer at the end of the handle of the LUCIA design can also be found on the matching three-part door hinges and the window handle. A large number of products can thus be combined with the LUCIA design line and form a perfect unit in terms of shape and colour in the system. This consistency in design is what makes the LUCIA design line so unique. A true masterpiece.

Variety in the style elements

LUCIA is available with round and angular rosette designs to perfectly match the entire room to a uniform look. With PIATTA S even with probably the flattest rosette on the market.

Diversity in the accents

Purism through the stainless steel surface, elegance through the graphite black surface. The individual handle end of LUCIA SELECT sets subtle accents in a classic ambience - optionally with brass or copper core. Two surfaces, two material accents, diverse design options.

A classic: The L-shape

Wie entstand das Meisterstück LUCIA und was hat unser Türgriff überhaupt mit dem Frankfurter Modell oder der L-Form zu tun?

the reference to Frankfurt model

The "founding father" of the L-shape is the Frankfurt shape from the 1920s. In the 1980s, the door handle was used in the German Museum of Architecture in Frankfurt, which is probably where the name for the door handle came from. A second approach assumes a different origin of the name for the handle: The L-shape originated from the Frankfurt architect Ferdinand Kramer, which is how it got its name. From 1925 onwards, the door handle was mass-produced in the Frankfurt model. From 1920 to 1940, the Frankfurt shape was the most frequently used door handle for interior doors. Today, the L-shape is THE classic door handle throughout Europe: from Barcelona to Berlin, from Warsaw to Amsterdam.

the name L-Shape

The L-shape is a door handle that looks like the letter "L" in top view. A door handle in the L-shape consists of two stainless steel round tubes, mitered and assembled - so that the handle forms a right angle.

Lucia. The masterpiece.

We have rethought the design classic L-shape. Technology, surfaces, haptics - everything should be more perfect, the "Meisterstück by Griffwerk". Our products are designed in Blaustein in southern Germany. We take the production into our own hands in order to maintain the highest quality standards. The precisely milled bevel underlines the unique character of the LUCIA design line. The disc cut emphasises dynamics and geometry. The proportions were also readjusted. The handle was allowed to be slightly wider at 21 mm in diameter, the rosettes flatter and more discreet. For a purist aesthetic, the grub screw sits invisibly on the underside of the handle.

Door handles: Which design variants are available?

What is smart2lock?

smart2lock stands for an innovative and intelligent locking technology that functions maintenance-free without electronics. A short click activates the mechanism integrated in the door handle. When locked, the door handle can no longer be operated on either side. On the outside, a red indicator on the door handle discreetly signals "do not disturb" - the most beautiful pause sign in the world. Of course, an emergency release on the outside of the door has also been thought of.

What is a mortice lock?

Mortice lock door handle sets, called BB for short at Griffwerk, are suitable for any type of room doors, e.g. interior doors made of wood. This is also referred to as a simple design door lock. Buntbart locks should not be used outdoors, as they can be easily opened by unauthorized persons even without a key with a locking hook. Thus, a BB lock is particularly suitable for interior doors without security requirements.

What is a profile cylinder?

A profile cylinder lock is used as a classic for house, office and flat entrance doors. A profile cylinder is a cylinder that can be operated with a key. Profile cylinders therefore also provide a certain degree of protection - although less than protective fittings. Attention: If you want a door handle with profile cylinder insert, please note the marking PZ.

What is a WC-closer?

The rosette set with WC lock is considered the classic for the bathroom. A door handle with WC lock, abbreviated WC at Griffwerk, is equipped with a rotary knob on the inside and an emergency release on the outside. With the WC lock on the inside, the room door can be locked from the inside by turning it once. In an emergency, the door can be emergency unlocked from the outside, e.g. with a coin.
