ONLINE FROM NOW ON
Griffwerk has completely revised its website. The new design has been adapted to the current Corporate Design and the user guidance has been restructured. The Blaustein company placed special value on the requirements of the different user groups, from the pro to the final consumer.
Specialist dealer, craftsmen, architects and end customers will find their way easily in the logically structured user menu. The structure first sorts by product group with a dedicated area for glass doors, which were added to the range in 2014. Overview pages offer a quick general overview in the next step. New: Filters can be used for targeted searches.
COMPREHENSIVE SELECTION OPTIONS
If you do not want to visually stroll through the site, but are specifically looking for, e.g., fire protection sets, you can select this feature in the comprehensive filter range. This is much faster than reading through a great number of item descriptions. Filters, according to GRIFFWERK, are a common tool in other industries and indispensable from E-Commerce today. Griffwerk has adapted this instrument for the glass door and door handle solutions area and particularly comprehensively increased the number of filter options. Especially for pros, time-saving access to information is decisive, facilitating research. The selection options consider design and performance features and are coordinated with different user needs from pro to the end customer.
End customers were considered more strongly in the new concept. According to a study, about 87 % of all customers meet the vendor pre-informed. End customers have therefore collected facts and ideas online in advance and often come to specialist trade with their first ideas of their desired product or specific product interest. The last details will be determined in the interview with the specialist consultant. The website of Blaustein company Griffwerk would like to make this phenomenon useful for specialist trade and therefore takes two paths. The website has been built to enable interested persons without specialist knowledge to find their way by "speaking" a generally comprehensible language. Second, the website directly connects to specialist trade by indicating possible purchasing sources.
STRENGTHENING SPECIALIST TRADE
The specialist trade brand Griffwerk also does not use any dedicated distribution channel in e-Commerce, and instead fully relies on specialist trade. To keep the potential buyers found on the GRIFFWERK website from getting into a "cul-de-sac",“ and lead them right to the specialist dealer, GRIFFWERK is integrating a shop- finder that will be available online soon. Potential buyers will thus learn, where they can buy their desired products nearby. The selected products can be saved via a notepad function, printed out or forwarded.
ONLINE ACTIVITIES HAND IN HAND WITH SPECIALIST TRADE
Griffwerk relies on high-quality content management on its website. Inspirational subjects and novelties are communicated continually. They are linked to further online activities. It is one area that GRIFFWERK will develop more strongly in future. Trade and crafts can receive theme packages that can be used for own online activities.
"The company website is superior to any catalogue or consulting case in topicality, good structure and information depth," states Matthias Lamparter, managing director of Griffwerk GmbH, who sees great potential in the online area for specialist trade and crafts. GRIFFWERK will support its customers here by increased market preparation. The benefits of the online media are already evident. Thanks to the optimisation for tablet and Smartphone, the comprehensive knowledge is ready at hand at all times, and prepared in a good structure. Search function as well as clear, aesthetically pleasing product illustrations, and manyapplication examples make customer consulting with online tools at the construction site or in the sales room very simple.
